Mann invents imagery suggestive of cosmic forms, cellular structures, biological architecture, sea life and other unusual phenomena. His depictions often traverse through multiple mediums: Drawing, sculpture, video, installation; one process feeds and grows into another: dividing, repurposing, rearranging, recontextualizing. The content of the work is often developed through its creation, functioning as a catalyst for Mann to research and engage with art, science, philosophy, and religion. His use of monochrome is tied to minimalism and serves to reference clouds, light, eggs (birth), bones (death), and snow while bringing a formal unity to potentially chaotic compositions.

Born in 1985 (Colorado Springs, CO), Evan Mann earned his BFA from Colorado State University and his MFA from Rhode Island School of Design.  In addition to his inclusion in film festivals and screenings around the world, his work has been exhibited at the RISD Museum (RI), Holter Museum (MT), Allentown Art Museum (PA), Urban Institute of Contemporary Arts (MI), The Wassaic Project (NY), and Central Connecticut State University (CT), among many others. Mann’s work in included in the collections of the Holter Musuem, RISD Museum and the private collection of Paula and Leonard Granoff, among others. Mann is a current Redline artist resident and the recipient of the Grand Jury Award for Best Experimental Short at the 2014 Slamdance Film Festival. Evan lives and works in Colorado with his wife Deborah and their daughter Anna, where they run a Denver-based commercial video production company: Otherworldly Productions.
